Synopsis

This study analyzes the relationships between the different variables involved in reading fluency in a group of second, third, and fourth grade elementary school children. Reading models, word recognition models, comprehension theories, and speech production theories are used as references. Likewise, in the case of fluency, the different perspectives that define the scope of this construct have been considered.

Author Biography

Franca Maccioni

Franca Maccioni (Córdoba, 1986) holds a PhD in Literature from the National University of Córdoba. She has published articles on poetry and contemporary philosophy in the journals Laboratorio, Outra Travessia, El Jardín de los poetas, Anclajes, Cuadernos del Sur, Orbis Tertius, Babedec, and Constelaciones, among others. He has contributed to the following collective essay collections: La imaginación política (La Cebra, 2017), Violencia y método. De Lecturas y críticas (Letranómada, 2014), La obstinación de la escritura (Postales Japonesas, 2013), Bajo el cielo estrellado (Alción, 2011), and together with Javier Martínez-Ramacciotti, she compiled the book Hacer.cosasssEnsayos sobre el recomenzar (Teseo, 2015). She is part of the research team “Singular Figures: A Cartography for Reading Contemporary Writings” led by Dr. Gabriela Milone and is affiliated with the Department of Hermeneutics. She is a member of the editorial board of Nombres. Revista de filosofía. She is currently continuing her work with a postdoctoral fellowship from CONICET.
