Issues in Philosophyof Education: Traditions, experiences, and controversies
Keywords:
Education, Philosophy, REDAFESynopsis
This volume brings together the results of the work carried out by the Argentine Network of Philosophy of Education (REDAFE) within the framework of its IV Meeting, which took place in November 2019 in the mountains of Córdoba and was organized by the philosophy of education departments of the Faculties of Philosophy and Humanities and Arts of the National University of Córdoba. The meeting that gave rise to this publication is the latest in a series that has gradually consolidated a fruitful network of collective work.
“Issues in the Philosophy of Education: Traditions, Experiences, and Controversies” consists of three parts. The first part explores the involvement of philosophical production in the educational universe. The second part contains a selection of texts that offer some insights into teaching, practices, and experiences in the context of institutional interventions. The third and final part of the book brings together works that propose, from a philosophical perspective, interventions in current debates in the field of education, while seeking to identify and question some of the central challenges that arise from these controversies. The last three works in this section address challenges and controversies arising from the reconfiguration of the educational landscape that took place as a result of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.
