IDACOR

7 Titles

The Córdoba Institute of Anthropology (IDACOR) was created in 2011 as an executive unit under the joint authority of CONICET and UNC, based on the CONICET Associated Unit “Museum of Anthropology” at the National University of Córdoba, as a new stage in its institutional development. However, it was not until September 2012 that it became an Executive Unit.

In its creation, IDACOR, as an institution specializing in anthropology, adheres to the institutional goals of the Museum, whose mission is to collect, preserve, research, and exhibit the culture of past and contemporary societies within an up-to-date and critical scientific framework, as a way to promote respect for other ways of life and to create attitudes of preservation of cultural heritage in society.

In line with this, IDACOR is founded on its own mission to promote and sustain the development of scientific research in the different areas of anthropological and museological sciences, together with the transfer of knowledge and results, while promoting and implementing the training of undergraduate and graduate human resources.
